 kgf stands forKolar Gold Fields. It is a gold mining region located in the Bangarpet taluk in Kolar District of Karnataka, India. The area was considered to be one of the most important ore mines of gold located in India that was shut down in 2001 due to rising production costs, reducing deposits and low gold production.
